Kuranda Koala Gardens

Firstly Friends of the Rainforest Kuranda Koala Gardens is our award-winning ’boutique’ wildlife experience. That gives visitors a great opportunity to meet some of Australia’s iconic wildlife.

At Koala gardens Friends of the Rainforest will get you up close with animals from koalas to reptiles. In addition join our Wildlife Keeper for a short guided walk through the Nocturnal Wonders exhibit. Learning about bilbies, possums and gliders. See our latest exhibit the ‘Aussie Bush Collection. Which has a fascinating mixture of marsupials and reptiles. Living together in the one ‘Aussie’ environment.

Bird World

Birdworld Kuranda you can can get up close yourself in one of the most unique wildlife attractions in Tropical North Queensland. Birdworld Kuranda replicates the natural habitats of almost 60 native and exotic species.

Some of the worlds most precious and beautiful birds will be flying around you. From Amazonian macaws, the endangered and cassowary, rainbow lorikeets, galahs, cockatoos and many more.

Naturally landscaped with waterfalls, ponds, and native plants. However Birdworld Kuranda is a place where you can join in with the birds. For instance surrounding yourself in their rainforest habitat. Be amazed at more than 350 birds of all shapes, sizes and colours on display, including the Finch Aviary.
